European Movies That Have Been Transformed Into Hollywood Films
The success of many European movies often translates to Hollywood remakes in the next few years. There have been many of these movies that fit in this particular profile. One example is the mystery thriller based on the trilogy books The girl with the dragon tattoo. This is the much anticipated movie in the Hollywood scene at the moment, but only time will tell whether it will be at the same level as the Swedish version.
Another film which has also been remade was Death at a Funeral, which was later developed in 2010. The American version did not go as well as the British version, which puts in question whether it can be done well at all.
